Whats New with Moonbeam & Moonriver
Moonbeam Network Completes Launch Process and is Now Live on Polkadot
On January 11, we celebrated the successful completion of the Moonbeam launch process to Polkadot, enabling EVM and balance transfers. This milestone follows the incredible community support received in the Moonbeam crowdloan, which received over 35M DOT (~$944M USD at the time the crowdloan ended) contributed by over 200,000 supporters worldwide.
Note for Moonbeam Crowdloan Contributors:
The first 30% of crowdloan rewards, totaling 45M GLMR tokens, were distributed to crowdloan participants based on the percentage of their contribution to the contributions pool. The remaining 70% (105M GLMR tokens) is vesting linearly over the 96-week parachain lease period that started on December 17, 2021.
Note for Moonbeam Take Flight Participants:
GLMR rewards for Take Flight participants will be distributed on February 20, 2022 (40 days after completing the launch process). The GLMR tokens will be sent to the receiving address listed in the Token Purchase Agreement.
Moonriver Adds Cross-Chain Capabilities, Introduces xcKSM
New functionality to enable native cross-chain token capabilities on Moonriver was announced earlier this month! This was also the introduction of XC-20 to Kusama, a new type of interoperable token that conforms to the ERC-20 standard but are also Substrate-native assets. xcKSM was the first XC-20. Currently, over 7,000 xcKSM have been deposited on Moonriver. Learn how to interact with cross-chain assets on Moonriver.
RMRK Fungible Token Channel to Moonriver is Now Open
A new one-way channel from Statemine to Moonriver is now open. This allows moving Statemine-based fungible assets like RMRK to Moonriver. Once RMRK is deposited as an XC-20, xcRMRK can be used like any other Moonriver-based token across the dozens of active DApps on the network.

Moonbeam and Moonriver are bringing dozens of new integrations and users to the Dotsama ecosystem. Take a look at new projects in our ecosystem:
Live Deployments on Moonbeam
APIs:
The Graph is an indexing and query layer of the decentralized web. This integration allows dApp developers to build and publish open APIs and easily access data on Moonbeam & Polkadot.
DeFi:
Zenlink is an underlying cross-chain DEX protocol based on Polkadot. Zenlink DEX Protocol enables all parachains to build DEX and achieve liquidity sharing in one click.
Solarflare is a DEX that enables peer-to-peer transactions on the Moonbeam Network. Solarflare allows users to use its AMM features, providing a seamless trading experience.
DOT.Finance, DeFi aggregator. Dot Finance automates and maximizes rewards for its users and helps them earn fees from other DeFi services, such as lending, trading, and borrowing.
Bridges:
Connext Bridge This integration allows devs to build bridges and other natively cross-chain applications.
Celer Network is an L2 scaling platform. GLMR users can now use cBridge for a fast, low-cost cross-chain bridging experience between Moonbeam and other supported networks.
Multichain, a Cross-Chain Router Protocol (CRP). Multichain allows cross-chain transfers of ten assets between Moonbeam and Ethereum.
Explorers
Etherscan is the most widely-used blockchain explorer, search, API, and analytics platform for Ethereum. Moonbeam users can now view transactions and individual blocks. Developers now have access to verify their smart contracts.
Subscan is a multi-chain explorer built for Substrate-based blockchains. This integration allows Moonbeam users to view and verify on-chain data.
Wallets:
MathWallet is a multi-platform universal crypto wallet that enables the storage of different tokens. Moonbeam integration allows users to generate new wallets, send tokens, and interact with a wide array of DeFi applications, all from a single place.
DeBank, a dashboard for tracking your DeFi portfolio, with data and analytics for decentralized lending protocols, stablecoins, margin trading platforms, and DEXes.
Live Deployments on Moonriver
NFTs:
RMRK is a system of NFT building blogs. This integration allows Moonriver devs and designers to build composable, equippable, and multi-resource NFTs.
NFTrade is a cross-chain NFT platform. NFTrade brings Moonriver an aggregator of NFT marketplaces that hosts a complete NFT lifecycle, allowing anyone to seamlessly create, buy, sell, swap, farm, and leverage NFTs across different blockchains.
DeFi:
Hundred Finance is a decentralized application that enables the lending and borrowing of cryptocurrencies.
Deployments Coming Soon to Moonbeam & Moonriver
Chainlink: A decentralized oracle network that provides this much-needed stream of information to the smart contracts that run on various blockchains.
Axelar: A cross-chain comms platform that connects blockchain ecosystems, dapps, and users.
Moonwell: An open lending, borrowing, and decentralized finance protocol.
Gnosis Safe (friendly fork): An Ethereum-native platform to manage digital assets.
DAppRadar Now Tracks DApps on Moonbeam & Moonriver
Moonbeam and Moonriver are now on DAppRadar! DappRadar is a data acquisition and analysis company that tracks 3,500 dApps across multiple blockchains. DappRadar has built a full-scale dApp store that has over 1 million users worldwide, around 9k dApps, and 30+ protocols listed. Nick | Thai Moonbeam Community
Hello everyone! My name is Nick, and I’m from Thailand. I’ve been a Polkadot fan for a long time. As a developer, I’ve been curious about how can Ethereum devs easily migrate their dapps to Polkadot? After doing some research back in early 2021, I discovered that Moonbeam is the best answer. Moonbeam responds to interoperable and multi-chain challenges that many prominent projects face when expanding to Polkadot. And this is why I felt so passionate to learn more about the project.
I became an ambassador back in April 2021. I’ve been helping the developers community, and I created a dashboard using the Covalent integration that supports Moonbeam and Moonriver ecosystems. I want to thank the Moonbeam team because they gave me a chance to do incredible things that I’ve never done in my life. They give strong support to their community. I’m very happy to be part of the multi-chain future that Moonbeam is building.
