Lots of excitement for the Moonbeam ecosystem this month. We are thrilled to announce that the Moonriver network is live and fully functional on Kusama. Stay tuned as we cover recent presentations (both technical & non-technical), new integrations, and a preview of what’s to come!
What’s New with Moonbeam & Moonriver
Moonriver is Now Live on Kusama
The Moonbeam team is thrilled to announce that Moonriver is now live on the Kusama Network. This is a great milestone for the Moonbeam community!
Yesterday, Moonriver completed its launch process by enabling balance transfers and EVM functionality. The Moonriver network is officially fully functional and now 60+ projects in the Moonbeam ecosystem can start deploying their smart contracts and DApps to the Moonriver network.
The enablement of balance transfers allowed the Moonriver crowdloan contributors to receive their first batch of rewards. Another exciting update in Moonriver’s final launch phase was the addition of EVM, which allows users to begin staking and receiving rewards. The Moonriver ecosystem continues to expand rapidly as many new projects start to deploy on the network.

Take Flight
Earlier this month, The Moonbeam Foundation announced Take Flight, a token event open to the Moonbeam community. This virtual event is an opportunity for Moonbeam community members to obtain Glimmer (GLMR) tokens, the utility tokens of the Moonbeam Network.
Take Flight was created to thank the core community members who have helped us make Moonbeam a reality. It also provides a way for the community to take an active role in the future of the network through on-chain governance.

New Partners & Projects Building on Moonbeam
Covalent
Covalent announced its complete indexing of Moonriver. This integration expands the availability of data on Moonriver and simplifies the experience for developers who need reliable, high-quality data. In the future, Covalent will also support the Moonbeam Network. Read more.
Zoombies
Cardinal Entertainment will bring Zoombies, the NFT game, to Moonbeam and Moonriver. Moonbeam’s Ethereum-compatibility allows the Zoombies team to deploy to a Polkadot-based environment without rewriting their codebase. Zoombies is now live on Moonbeam’s TestNet, Moonbase Alpha, and will be available on Moonriver very soon!
Meter
The Meter Passport bridge is coming to Moonriver and Moonbeam. This bridge will connect the Moonriver parachain and Kusama to Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain, Polygon, and Meter, allowing the free movement of assets across the independent networks. Meter Passport will also be deployed to Moonbeam once it launches on Polkadot later this year.
Impossible Finance
Impossible Finance, a multi-chain incubator, launchpad, and token swap platform which offers next-generation decentralized financing to Web3 projects, has integrated with Moonbeam. This integration provides developers with a decentralized platform to natively launch and sustain their projects in the Moonbeam and Polkadot ecosystems. Read more.
Figment (Hubble)
Figment, an established validator on Proof of Stake networks and provider of widely-used DevOps tools and infrastructure, has integrated with Moonbeam. This integration brings the Hubble dashboard to Moonbeam and Moonriver, creating a more intuitive staking experience for users by creating a new way to easily view staking opportunities, review performance data, and nominate collators. Bware Labs
Moonbeam’s integration with Bware Labs will allow users to access their MVP at app.bwarelabs.com, and create fully-fledged RPC and WSS endpoints for the Moonriver Network and Moonbase Alpha. Developers will have the possibility to build and test their Moonbeam dApps using Bware’s APIs. Read more.
