October was a dynamic eventful month for Moonbeam, filled with integrations, community initiatives, and strategic advancements. As we continue to grow, the Foundation’s goal is to strategically expand into four critical areas. These efforts underscore Moonbeam’s commitment to building real-world utility into the network.

Here’s an overview of October biggest highlights:

Messari Report and Moonwell Roundtable: Moonbeam’s Growth Update

October saw the release of Messari’s Q3 2024 reportGo to page [object Object] detailing Moonbeam’s growth metrics and future outlook. With a 26% YoY increase in developers and a 16% QoQ rise in stablecoin supply, the report highlights Moonbeam’s upward trajectory and the expanding reach of our ecosystem.

Moonbeam’s own Luke Youngblood joined the Moonwell roundtable broadcastGo to page [object Object] to share the vision behind our work and discuss how Moonbeam is opening pathways for broader accessibility to on-chain finance. These discussions are part of our ongoing efforts to communicate transparently with our community and share the progress we’re making in expanding Moonbeam’s utility and influence within Web3.

Moonbeam Routed Liquidity: Transforming Cross-Chain Connectivity

In October, we released an in-depth article exploring Moonbeam Routed LiquidityGo to page [object Object] (MRL) and how it stacks up against traditional bridges. MRL is designed to simplify liquidity routing and enhance interoperability, directly aligning with our mission to expand decentralized finance across ecosystems.

The article breaks down how MRL allows assets to move seamlessly across chains in a streamlined, user-friendly process. Parachains can tap into liquidity without the need for complex setups, making cross-chain transactions more accessible than ever.

Since launch, Moonbeam’s MRL has routed over $31 million in total volumeGo to page [object Object] across nearly 2,000 transfers. Check out the full article hereGo to page [object Object].

Governance Guild and Community Empowerment

Moonbeam launched the Moonbeam Governance GuildGo to page [object Object] (MGG), a program designed to distribute governance responsibilities while fostering an engaging community. Through this initiative, Moonbeam has delegated a total of 5 million GLMR and 50,000 MOVR tokens to a team of 10 dedicated community delegates, 5 for Moonbeam and 5 for Moonriver.

The MGG initiative empowers these members to represent community interests in a transparent and accountable governance structure. The program is a significant step towards building a governance framework that is truly community-driven and representative of Moonbeam’s mission.

Proposal 62: Enhancing Liquidity in Moonriver

October also saw the successful passing of Proposal 62Go to page [object Object], a governance initiative aimed at enhancing liquidity in Moonriver’s Sovereign account. This proposal moves 15% of KSM from Kusama to AH-Kusama, allowing easier transfers of xcKSM without needing to pass through the Kusama Relay Chain. It’s a practical step toward simplifying transactions and making liquidity more accessible for our users.
