Gaming Gets a Boost
December saw N3MUS take centre stage as the ecosystem-sponsored tournaments delivered thrilling gameplays, major user engagement, and some serious on-chain activity.
These tournaments showcased Moonbeam’s growing reputation as the go-to ecosystem for game developers seeking to leverage Web3 for community engagement. Here are the highlights:

- 597 player sign-ups
- $2,000 in GLMR awarded
- 1,184 transactions at peak activity, with 5x on-chain activity growth
- 4,819 page visitors and 1,066 active users
- The Great Escape:
- 409 player sign-ups
- $2,000 in GLMR awarded.
- 702 transactions peak, with 6x on-chain activity growth
- 3,347 page visitors and 603 active users
- EvRloot:
- 126 player sign-ups
- $1,000 in GLMR awarded
- 2,747 transactions at peak activity with 4x on-chain activity growth

Governance Guild: Empowering The Community
We introduced the Moonbeam Governance GuildGo to page https://forum.moonbeam.network/t/moonbeam-governance-guild-mgg/1904, a significant step towards enhancing governance across Moonbeam and Moonriver.
This initiative aims to ensure a more representative and dynamic governance system, empowering the community to play an active role in shaping the ecosystem’s future. Key highlights include:
- 5 million GLMR and 50,000 MOVR allocated to support governance efforts.
- A team of 10 delegates tasked with ensuring community representation and efficient decision-making.
The Governance Guild sets the stage for a more participatory and transparent ecosystem.
The Spammening: A Test of Resilience
Moonriver made waves during Polkadot and Kustama’s ultimate stress test, The Spammening, proving the resilience of Moonbeam’s infrastructure.
During this test, Moonbeam handled over 4,500 transactions in a single block without breaking a sweat. This remarkable performance highlights the real-world stability and scalability of Moonbeam’s infrastructure.
Meet Moonbeam’s Newest Member: beamr
December also marked the debut of beamr, Moonbeam’s newest mascot and friendly guide for the ecosystem. beamr is here to light the way for both existing users and newcomers navigating the Web3 space for the first time.
As a symbol of Moonbeam’s accessibility and community-driven ethos, beamr will play a pivotal role in engaging users and spreading the word about the ecosystem’s benefits.
