So, you’ve finished your project and now you’re ready to submit. Congratulations! You can take a deep breath and relax – submitting your project is the easy part.
To get started, head over to Gitcoin, and click on the respective bounty category.
Submit a Plan
If you haven’t yet registered for the hackathon, you’ll be prompted at this point to login with your Github account. Under your chosen bounty category, press “Start Work”. If you’ve already submitted your plan, you can go ahead and skip to the next section.
You’ll be prompted to re-enter this information to finalize your project during the Submit Work step, but it may be helpful to gather this info now. You’ll be able to provide your project’s name, a logo (must be perfectly square dimensions), a project summary, a link to your Github repository, and a demo video. You’ll also have the chance to add any collaborators by their Github Username.
Submit your Project
Press Submit Work to be taken to the project submission page and Connect your MetaMask or other desired crypto wallet. This is the account to which your bounty will be paid out if you’re a winner – so make sure it’s secure! (i.e. NOT the same account you use for debugging and testing)
Press Add project.
You’ll be able to provide your project’s name, a logo (must be perfectly square dimensions), a project summary, a link to your Github repository, and a demo video. You’ll also have the chance to add any collaborators by their Github username. Press Submit once finished.
After pressing Submit, there’s just a few steps remaining. Returning to the Submit Work Page, take the following steps:
- Verify your Github username is correct.
- Paste the link to your project’s Github repository.
- Paste your payment address here (or sync with Web3 Wallet).
- Enter an estimate of your hours worked.
- Review the terms of Terms of Service.
- Review the conditions of submission.
- If everything looks good, press Submit Work. Note, you won’t be able to modify your submission after this point.
And that’s it! Be sure to sign up for the monthly Moonbuilder’s Newsletter to receive news about future hackathons and developer events.
